An aging or unused heating-oil tank is a liability that follows a property. A buried or basement tank that leaks can contaminate soil and groundwater, complicate a sale, and trigger costly cleanup. Anco removes residential and commercial oil tanks across New Jersey with our own crews — no subcontracted handoffs — so the job is done safely and documented properly the first time.
How We Handle a Removal
Every removal starts by confirming the tank's size, location, and condition, then pulling the local permits required before any work begins. We pump and clean out remaining product, extract the tank, and visually inspect the excavation and soil for signs of a release. When the tank is clean and the soil is clear, we backfill, restore the area, and hand you the documentation you need for your records or a real-estate transaction.
When a Leak Is Found
If we find evidence of a discharge, we don't walk away. Our Licensed Site Remediation Professionals (LSRPs) scope the cleanup, manage any required soil removal or treatment, and carry the case through to a formal closure — keeping the entire process under one roof.
